Research Assistant/Associate
Open Pool Announcement

Terms of Appointment: Limited duration; non-career non-tenure track; full or part time; salary $30,000 - $70,000 DOE, primarily at low end of scale.

Primary Goals of Position: The purpose of this announcement is to create an open pool of applicants who may be hired at a future date to assist institute researchers with various aspects of their grant-funded projects.

Program Information: The institutes’ research projects are wide ranging and include sustainable rural development, green jobs, public land policy, land use, collaboration, wildfire management, ecological restoration, biodiversity conservation, alternative energy, climate change, health policy, communication and outreach, geographic analysis and other issues. The specific job’s duties will depend on the purpose of the research project.
